Rated 4.7 out of 5 by more than a hundred members and visitors, the Lewisburg Elks Country Club has earned its reputation the old-fashioned way: a course that actually challenges you, greens that are consistently well-kept, and staff who genuinely seem glad you showed up. Guests who've visited while vacationing in the Greenbrier Valley often come back a second time before they even leave town. That kind of loyalty doesn't happen by accident.

The club sits along Brush Road on the outskirts of Lewisburg, one of West Virginia's most charming small cities, surrounded by rolling hills and clean mountain air that make every round feel like a getaway. The layout rewards strategic play without punishing beginners so harshly that they never return. Bring your A-game or just bring your friends.

Beyond the fairways, the clubhouse dining delivers generous portions and a pleasant atmosphere, even when the place is buzzing with golfers cycling in after their rounds. The swimming pool rounds out the experience for families and members looking to make a full day of it.

What We Offer

The golf course is the centerpiece: 18 holes of scenic, well-maintained terrain that draws both serious players and casual weekend golfers looking for a beautiful setting. Tee times are available for members and guests, and the staff are quick to get you oriented, especially if it's your first visit.

After your round, the clubhouse restaurant serves up hearty meals with portions that actually fill you up. Whether it's a post-round lunch or a relaxed dinner, the kitchen keeps pace even during busy periods. Cold drinks for golfers coming off the course are a staple of the service flow here.

The swimming pool and athletic fields round out the club's offerings, making it a genuine multi-sport destination. Families can spend an entire afternoon on the grounds without running out of things to do. For Elks Lodge members and their guests, the club functions as a true community anchor in Greenbrier County.

"Generous portions, good service, pleasant atmosphere most of the time. There is an abundance of foot traffic in and out. Servers are sometimes bogged down ringing up beverages for the golfers forming a line at the cash register and I recommend sitting away from the checkout area for this reason. If you are trying to enjoy your meal and conversation, you may find several golfers standing in very close proximity to your table, discussing their matches with their "outside voices" meandering between the tables between the bar, cash register and multiple porch access doors in the dining room. Best to plan to eat at this restaurant when the golf course is not busy, like when it's raining, cold etc. . Just remember, this is primarily a golf course and always will be trying to accommodate the in and out "snack bar" "grab a quick cold one" between rounds. The diners have to accept the golfers and the golfers need to respect the diners and everything works out. May I suggest that on weekends and busy times a dedicated mobile snack/beverage cart would help to reduce the golfer/diner interactions and both parties will have a more enjoyable experience. Just saying."

"David Jones and the staff are amazing to work with. Course is always in terrific shape. Pace of play is good and price is great for the course conditions. Just don't be above the hole on the back 9 and you will have a fantastic time!"

"Went here for lunch. Every table in outdoor patio was dirty. Had to ask the waitress to wipe the table. It was very obvious it was dirty. Still had the receipt and tip from last customer. Chicken salad was horrible. Tasted like onions. My luncmate said the same thing. Other than that, the view from deck was nice. Sweet tea was good. And they brought a bucket of water for our dogs."
